September 2, 2009fallen on bookish days
July 2, 2009Lust struck in the bookstore once again. I twitched. I went a bit dizzy.
And now I have two new books in my possession.
To the left is Ume Kayo’s book of photographs, Danshi (男子), which I have wanted for awhile.
To the right is Dandelion – a book of photographs by Takahashi Yoko of actress Aoi Yu traveling through Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway. (You can see some photographs from the book here)
Of course, Dandelion was purchased on superficial inclinations. Aoi Yu is very pretty, and the clothes, colors, & setting lull me into lip-biting whimsy.
Working on a new project, so my floor and desk have fallen on gloomily disorganized days. Details soon.

Saw ASA-CHANG&巡礼 in concert the other day, and how rare! I feel invigorated about music again.

bangkok, kunming, hong kong, macau
March 11, 2009The big trip has finally come to an end. I’m still attempting to recover from my night spent at the Hong Kong airport, and I am still trying to unpack. Each encounter with packing and unpacking always leads to lots of cleaning and moving things around and a flurry of awkward and repetitive movements. Hence, I tripped flat on my face on two sets of stairs in a span of two days.
Much thanks to Sophie for letting me stay with her in Kunming and showing me around. It was a great trip, and my belly is full from all the lovely sights I was able to see.
